Rev. Emma Heirman is one of two resident priests in The Christian Community Greater Washington-Baltimore congregation and has been visiting the Atlanta Affiliate of The Christian Community up to four times a year as the priest holding this community. This year, however, marks a year of transition, as Emma will be moving to Toronto in the summer of 2025 to become a director of the Seminary of The Christian Community in North America. Her second visit in 2025 is therefore also her final visit to Atlanta, at least as its guiding priest. We have been anticipating this final weekend for several months now, but it still comes as a something of a shock. We plan to send Emma off with style and gusto, but also with sadness. She has served our community oh-so-well, and we will miss her.
